Privacy

This site republishes the Food Standards Agency's public register of food hygiene ratings, which is published as open data under the Open Government Licence. The register includes business names, addresses and inspection results. Where a business is run under a person's own name, that name appears here exactly as it appears on the official register.

This site does not have user accounts and does not set cookies. Visitor numbers are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track individuals. If you contact us by email, we use your message and address only to reply, and we do not share them.

Corrections

The whole site is rebuilt every day from the official register, so it reflects what the Food Standards Agency publishes, usually within 24 hours.

If your rating is wrong or out of date, the fix starts with the official record: contact the local authority that inspected you, or use the Food Standards Agency's processes for appeals, re-inspection requests and the right to reply. Once the official register changes, this site follows automatically at the next daily update.

If this site shows something different from the official register, that is our error: email info@ukfoodhygiene.co.uk with the business name and postcode and we will correct it promptly.

Takedown

We publish the official register faithfully, including ratings businesses might prefer not to show. We do not remove accurate register entries on request, because the register is public information published by law. We will always correct any difference between this site and the official register, reflect ownership changes (ratings do not transfer to a new operator), and remove businesses that leave the register.
