The business's response, as published on the national register:

At The Corn Mill, we are committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and we recognise that the outcome of our recent inspection fell below the standards we set for ourselves and those our guests rightly expect.

Since the inspection, we have worked closely with the local authority and have taken immediate action across the business. A comprehensive improvement plan was put in place straight away, supported by additional management oversight, enhanced monitoring, further team training and independent compliance reviews to ensure improvements are embedded and sustained.

We have met with the local authority to review the findings and the progress made since the inspection, and we will continue to work constructively with them while the improvement plan is delivered. The Corn Mill remains open and trading as normal, and we look forward to demonstrating the progress we have made.

The health, safety and experience of our guests remain our highest priority. We are confident that the actions taken will strengthen our operation and help ensure we consistently deliver the standards our guests expect when visiting The Corn Mill.
